Voting data do not appear in my reports

It might happen that while the Emolytics widget is well appearing on your website’s pages, you do not get any data in your reports (https://www.emolytics.com/login).Here are a few possible reasons:

  • You installed the Javascript on a website or a webpage that is not on the right domain name (http://www.yourdomain.com) with the one you registered initially
  • You installed the Javascript which is linked to one web domain on multiple sites
  • There are 2 Javascripts in the same page (we have observed conflicts between 2 scripts in the same page)
  • Is your website on ON of OFF in the dashboard

Here is the solution:

  • Verify that the “getsmily_id” is the one associated with the domain on which you noticed the bug; view it in the source code of the page and then compare it to the one you find in your account (via https://www.getsmily.com/login)

It is important to know that there is only one “emolytics_id” per domain. If you want to measure multiple sites, you will have to create multiple “getsmily_id”.
We do this for security reasons and data consistency.
